Contact lens cost cutting save a fortune

If you buy daily, weekly or monthly contact lenses from a high street optician you will know all to well that it is an expensive business.

A 12 month supply of daily contact lenses off the high street can cost anything up too £400 for the lenses alone not including after care and lens solution.

So how can you cut the cost down?

Don’t buy them on the high street is the answer! If you already wear contact lenses and have a prescription made up for them then you can buy your lenses from any discounted online lens retailer.

The reality of the contact lens industry is that there are only a few producers in the UK which all the opticians buy from, rebrand them and then sell on for what ever price they choose. So essentially is doesn’t make any difference if they are from supermarket or an expensive opticians.

Also buy in bulk if you know you need them then buy a 12 month supply rather than a 3 month supply as it will be cheaper.

If you have never bought contact lenses online before you will need to provide a prescription with with your lens strength, if you already have a prescription made up you can use that otherwise you will need to books an appointment.
