Entering competitions for profit
If your anything like me you will love entering competitions and prize draws. The excellent thing about competitions is you have more chance of winning than the lottery, and they usually don’t cost anything either and they are tax free.
My family have been comping on and off for many years now, generally we have always faired better with the offline competitions, I guess this is because there are less people entering them. If you play the lottery then it costs £1 per entry, you are probably never going to win it anyway. That £1 could buy you 4 second class stamps which would be 4 entries to postal competitions. You can also get free postcards from many pubs and bar they usually have a rack of free postcards on the way to the toilet, choose bright ones that would stand they have more chance of being picked.
My advice would be to enter your local paper competitions, and ones where you need to write a tie breaker, as these will be the ones with the most chance of winning.
Online competitions are usually the norm now generally because they are a cheap way to get people to sign up to a website newsletter or promote a new product , and since the since the internet is such an effective way of marketing more people enter online competitions.
A good place to start looking for competitions is the competition section of the peazyshop forum.

One thing I would suggest if you are going to start comping online is setup a second email address with hotmaill or google, when you register your email address for competitions you will start to get newsletters from the websites you have signed up for. If you enter a lot of competitions the junk mail can start to be a problem if you don’t use a second email address.
Also filling in competition forms can become really boring, roboform.com is a little bit of free software that you can install on your web browser. You enter you details into roboform, then the next time you want to fill in a form with your details just hit the fill button on you browser and roboform will automatically fill it in for you. Thee Google toolbar also has a similar feature.
