Fragrance money saving, cut the cost by up too 70%

Perfume, Aftershave and Au de toilette, falls into the luxury goods market. So basically the mark up a highstreet shop makes on it can sometimes be in the range of 40% - 70% profit. Like most shopping you do these days fragrance is without a doubt cheaper purchased online.Online fragrance shops buy in bulk and sell from a warehouse don’t have shops overheads, staff costs and as fragrance is a fairly light delivery is usually free. (if you are buying as a gift make sure you check the delivery date for the free delivery)

There are many online stores selling fragrance, Boots, John Lewis and Tesco both sell fragrance online, but if you really want to make a saving visit one of the shops below.Fragrance Direct, Cheap Smells, or Duty Free Perfumes.

They don’t look very fancy websites but remember no matter where you are buying fragrance from it’s all the same product from the same factory so there really is no need to be choosy. If the fragrance is for yourself rather than a present then it’s worth checking Fragrance Direct. They sell testers and unboxed bottles which are even cheaper.

If you are a regular buyer of scents or don’t mind waiting for a bargain then sign up to the above stores newsletters, I have seen some of them issue discount codes via their newsletter sometimes.

A little tip – make sure you know your scents, Au du toilette is the strongest, then perfume, then aftershave. If you are comparing an aftershave with an au de toilette you could find it’s not such a great bargain after all.

Saving Example

Jean Paul Gaultier, Le Male (au du toilette 75ml)  Boots = £30.00 & Fragrance Direct = £25.95

Hugo Boss, Boss In Motion (au du toilette 90ml) Boots = £38.00 & Fragrance Direct = £24.99

If you are still not into shopping online and prefer the highstreet then I have seen some great prices for fragrance in Superdrug and Savers. Try to avoid department stores there prices will always be artificially high because they can get away with it.
